Holiday Lighting in Lakewood

Frosty’s Holiday Lighting designs, installs, maintains and removes holiday lighting for homes in Lakewood, and the design consultation is online: we work from your address, your photos and satellite and street views, so there is no appointment to schedule.

Lakewood is in East Dallas, near White Rock Lake, and the housing stock there is older than most of the metroplex. That shapes the design more than anything else about the neighborhood.

One team handles the season end to end: the design drawn on a photo of your house, the installation, in-season repairs within 48 business hours, and removal beginning January 2.

The design

Designing for Lakewood homes.

Many Lakewood homes are older, with Tudor and other traditional styles, steep front gables, arched entries and mature trees. Those features are the design. We outline the front gables, pick up the arch over the entry, and hand-wrap the trunks of the trees standing in front of the house.

Steep front gables are what make a Lakewood roofline worth lighting, and also what makes it worth planning. We draw the gable lines on a photo of your house first and run only the lines that describe the shape, so the outline looks deliberate rather than traced. Rooflines and ridges, windows and arches, and columns and pillars all come off that same drawing.

An arched entry takes light well and is often the detail that makes the whole front read at night. Hand-wrapped tree trunks under lit tree canopies, pathways and flowerbeds, and wreaths, garland and bows fill in around it. Warm white is the usual choice on an older façade; cool white, multicolor and candy cane in red & cool white or red & warm white are all available, with more colors and custom combinations on request.

Common questions

Questions about lighting in Lakewood.

Updated October 2026

Do you install holiday lighting in Lakewood?

Yes. We have installed in Lakewood every season since 2022, in 75218 and 75214. Design, installation, in-season maintenance and removal beginning January 2 are all handled by our own team. Request a design consultation.

Do you need to visit my Lakewood property to design it?

No. We design online by default, from your address, your photos and satellite and street views, so there is no appointment to schedule and nobody has to be home. We draw the scheme on a photo of your house so you approve a picture rather than a description. An on-site walkthrough is available on request for larger estate, HOA and commercial projects. Start your online design consultation.

Can you light an older home without changing its character?

Yes — we design to the architecture rather than over it. On a Lakewood Tudor that usually means outlining the front gables, picking up the arched entry, and hand-wrapping the trunks of the mature trees in front, most often in warm white. Installation uses clips and glue as appropriate for the surface being attached to, and the lights are ours and leased for the season, so they come down beginning January 2 and there is nothing left on the house. See how we design around a home’s architecture.
