The design
Designing for Grapevine homes.
Grapevine has two kinds of street, and they ask for different designs. Near downtown the homes are older, with porches, gables and trim worth picking out; in the newer neighborhoods the two-story façades are larger, with long, clean rooflines.
On an older home we keep the outline restrained and let the details carry it: windows and arches, columns and pillars at the porch, and wreaths, garland and bows at the door, in warm white if you want the house to keep its period feel. On a newer home the rooflines and ridges do more of the work, with hand-wrapped trunks and lit pathways and flowerbeds bringing the light down into the yard.
This is also a town where multicolor and candy cane in red & cool white or red & warm white look right at home on a roofline, if you would rather the house feel playful than formal. Cool white is there too, along with more colors and custom combinations on request, and every option is drawn on a photo of your house before you decide.
