Designing for Midlothian homes.
Midlothian homes are mostly newer builds on larger lots, with open front yards and room between the house and the road. That open space works in a design’s favor: a crisp outline along the rooflines and ridges reads clearly from a distance, and windows and arches and the columns and pillars at the entry add detail as a visitor gets closer.
The yard then ties the house to the street. Pathways and flowerbeds can lead from the drive to the door, fences along the frontage can carry a line of light, and trees out front can be hand-wrapped at the trunk, or at the trunk and main branches, to the height the design calls for.
On a newer façade warm white looks clean and polished, cool white looks crisp, and multicolor or candy cane in red & cool white or red & warm white looks cheerful from the road. More colors and custom combinations are available on request, and your choice is drawn on a photo of your house before you sign off.
